The great thing about technology is that it is constantly growing and developing. This is brilliant news for those who love their gadgets and the way that technology works to improve lives. Others may not be so keen but there is no denying that the large majority of personal and business users now rely on their computers and gadgets in some form or another. This may be as a way to communicate, pay the bills or to shop.

Its always a good idea to stay on top of current developments so you can be a forward thinking and early adapter. Here are some potential trends that are worth keeping an eye on over the next few years.

The Rise of Facial Computing

Eyewear computers are expected to make a huge impact on the way we use technology. Its already here in the form of Google Glass but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Eyewear computing will involve recording out lives and shall make the current form of graphical computing seem minor in comparison.

Whole lives will be logged, you will be able to look back on previous conversations, interact with goods in shops on the Internet to learn more about the products or even to buy online rather than in the shop you are stood in. While on holiday it will be possible to translate the signs you are seeing and the gaming world is expected to become even more immersive than we are now. It is possible that eyewear computing will result in smartphones being obsolete in the future too.

Online Education to Increase

It is also possible that the use of Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and online learning sites will change the way we are educated. Diplomas will be replaced by certificates that are gained online. While online learning has been steadily increasing over the years and now the certificates, diplomas and degrees are seen as equal to those achieved in a traditional brick university MOOCs will make even more of a splash as the courses develop and technology provides ways of signalling peoples skills on a global scale in ways that dont simply include seeing what diplomas people have.

A Surge Towards Wearing Computers not Glasses

There are experts feel that the wearable computer will be in the form of a watch rather than the glasses. Many users dont like the look of the eyewear as it has somewhat of a geeky feel. Watches are believed to be less invasive on the body, subtle and have a lot more utility as found in smartphones that the public is already more than comfortable using in their everyday lives.

For now most of us are more than happy renewing our smartphone contracts and snatching up an incredible laptop for sale to ensure we have access to the Internet at home and on the move. In the future, despite initial concerns it is expected that the technology we use shall become more invasive yet offer us so many more benefits in return.
